Does anyone know if Easton will be getting a Louis Vuitton store this year? I heard they were in December and now they only mention Michael Kors and Sephora.

I think that insinuation is a little extreme for a backhanded comment, no?

^ Opening a Louis Vuitton" store next to an HH Gregg outlet is about like opening a Macy's next to an Auto-Zone--real class, man, real class! (Columbus chic, perhaps--I don't know--but something WAS lost in translation.) Oh, never mind...

That was the joke, nimrod. Why on earth would a super high-end store like Louis Vuitton, which has only 2-3 flagship stores in the entire country and sells handbags that cost more than a 50" flat screen TV, open a store in a ho-hum shopping center in Ohio? A Macy's next to an Auto Zone is infinitely more likely.

Backhanded comment - a condescending statement disguised as a complement or praise. Mine was very thinly veiled.

Actually, I just found out the Louis Vuitton store will be next to Tiffanys and Coach. It opens this summer

If it gets anything, it will be an outlet store. I think it should be next to the Lego store.

I think someone is jealous.

There are Louis Vuitton stores in other areas. Somerset Collection in suburban Detroit has one. I think Frontenac Plaza in suburban St. Louis has one. These are not flagship stores, but are certainly not outlet stores either. They are plain old in-line stores.

Columbus just has a market (or Easton?) for such stores. That and Steiner and Associates know how to do leasing.

If there is a second store in Ohio, I bet it would end up being Beachwood Place over Kenwood Town Center or Downtown Cincinnati.
