My husband is applying administrative job at Ohio School for the Deaf. It is north of Columbus. I would like to know what are the good suburbs to live there like family-friendly neighborhood and good schools. I want to be familiar with Columbus suburbs (north area, only). Also should we live inside the beltway or outside the beltway? Thank you for your help.

Worthington, Powell, Westerville all come to mind. You mentioned homeschooling in one of your other posts so you might want to look at Clintonville. It's not really a suburb but is a small pocket in Columbus. It's CLOSE to The School For The Deaf and is very family friendly as well as very very very open minded to homeschooling, etc. Lots of great restaurants and stores within walking distance and a well rounded mix of people and incomes.

Jammer0101, thank you for your help. I will look up at suburbs.

Clintonville is a great place to live and so is Worthington. Both have amazing restaurants, shops, and people. Based on proximity to your husband's job I would look into these two over Powell and Westerville.

Generally, the outer belt way has newer homes.

For good schools, just watch out for the property tax, When comparing the good schools on the same tier. Some district has much higher tax bill for the same level of quality.
