I am moving to the Columbus area for a job at the Easton Town Center. I am feeling overwhelmed by all of the neighborhoods to choose from! Can any one give me a recommendation on where to look? I would prefer a single family home, with central a/c, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. Also, I would prefer to have a short drive (~10 min) to work. Thank you!

Try Gahanna or Westerville.

Do you want to rent or buy? How much do you want to spend? What kind of house do you like (older? Newer? condo?) Do you have any criteria for your neighborhood as far as amenities or businesses?

I want to rent, and I would like to stay under $900 for everything, including utilities. I don't really have any preferences for the neighborhood, just that it be dog friendly. I would prefer something newer or at least updated.

There is a very affordable yet nice neighborhood called Minerva Park which would be worth looking into for your criteria.

Where is Minerva Park located? How would I go about looking for a place there?

It borders Cleveland Road to the west, Westerville Road to the east, and 161 to the north. I don't know specifically how you can look for houses to rent there but I now there are some for sale and I believe there are some apartments in the area as well.

Official Website of the Village of Minerva Park, Ohio

I definitley do not want to buy. I am leaning more toward a single family house than an apartment, I would like a yard for my dog, plus he is a barker so I would like to minimize irritating neighbors.

I second Gahanna or Westerville. I have to admit though, if you're really looking to see what Columbus has to offer I'd consider living in another area and commuting to Easton. You'll be going against traffic there and back no matter which direction you're heading, so it's not that big of a deal. But honestly I would consider other options (Clintonville, Grandview) and choose to live where I play and not where I work.

I second this. The true columbus is only really seen in the central city area neighborhoods or suburbs. As a young adult these areas do offer more entertainment in a more urban environment. However, some others are perfectly happy in a more suburban setting like Easton. So it just depends on what the individual is looking for.
