I moved to Columbus from Boulder almost 2 years ago. Ever since I moved, I've noticed that your restaurants use a much different amount of condiments than we did back home. Subway is the biggest perpetrator, but even Which Wich is guilty of this too. I've resorted to asking for my condiments on the side, since instructing "please only put the smallest amount of mayo you've ever put on a sandwhich" isn't enough. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? I mean, I watch at Subway as they empty (what seems like) a half a bottle onto the subs in front of me, and no one bats an eye. Is it because of the rampant obesity? Is it just easier to put too much and deal with the few that complain than have to deal with the many that would stand there shouting "more! more!"?

I figured it was like that everywhere! I'm like you, I don't want my food dripping with sauce. I just want enough on there so it's not really dry. Subway really is the worst. Once I told them light ranch and they literally gave me "Light Ranch" instead of going easy on the sauce

Hey Cbus is fat,

I just moved here 6 months ago & I haven't noticed a difference at Subways. Or anywhere else. I've never heard of Which Wich. Can you give another example, or are you just blaming sandwich shops for "rampant obesity" here?

Columbus, along with Cleveland, is one of the most obese cities in the country, so who knows, maybe it is condiments. Or the great ice cream. Or its the poverty. Pasta & potatoes & fast food burgers are more affordable than lean meats & vegetables...

Boulder, Colo., Residents Still Least Likely to Be Obese

It's ironic that subway would posture itself as health food, especially with those "Jared" commercials.

Hamplanets should avoid mayonnaise like the plague, it's the one thing that will worsen the condishun.
