After moving to Columbus and living there for some time. What were the things you wished you knew before you moved? What shocked you the most about the area? And knowing what you know now would you still have moved to Columbus. And if not why? Thanks.

I have lived about 25 minutes outside of downtown Columbus in a rural area and i will say that i have been extremely surprised recently about how nice and how much development there is in downtown Columbus. As a young professional ti would be great to live downtown there is great shopping the the short north and a short distance to easton, but the Columbus School system is less than is desired, which makes it much better to live in a suburb with its own school system (most are fairly good around columbus) if you are raising a family

I was shocked that, although the property taxes are much higher in Upper Arlington, we have to pay over $3.00 for every can of garbage we have.

Default I found the crime and noise level to be very high.

I moved from Columbus to Granville in the early 70's and came back in the early 80's and I was very disappointed at what had happened to the Northland area. It had just gone to hell.
