This is a third party vendor for electric and I hear that they charge quite a bit. However, does anyone have any personal experience on what a 800 sqft place will roughly cost me a month?

In my current apartment I am billed by them. It's about 800 square foot as well...and all electric. In the summer, my bill has been pretty low...$80-90...which is similar to what AEP's rates were for my previous apt. In winter, my heat wasn't on that much but my bill did get up to $180 a couple months....my previous apt had gas heat so electric stayed similar (dropped slightly) but I had an extra $100/month for gas.

In the end, I feel everything has pretty much evened out...I may be a little bit higher now currently but not by more than $20/month.

Now I don't run the AC very high (keep it at 75) and in the winter I run the heat at 65. Winter time, you can always put more clothes on if you do get cold.

I'm guessing you live in a livepreferred apt complex. I keep the AC at 72 and the heat at 75. bill usually runs no less than 150 and at peak of winter/summer 200+ since the apt is all electric. 2 bed, 2 bath apt
