Thinking about moving the family from Sacramento California to Dublin Ohio. I heard the schools are better and people have a greater sense of community. I have a three year old and a teenager the schools look amazing. Anything you could tell me would greatly appreciated. I'm going there on the 25th of July and would like to know where I should visit.

Dublin's fairly pricey for the area, though probably comparable to Sacramento. It's a very nice suburb with an actual downtown area which is charming. There is Whole Foods, etc in Dublin, and they have a huge Irish festival there every summer which is one of the largest in the country.
I've only been to Sacto a couple of times for short visits so don't know how to compare, but for the Bay Area it reminds me of Walnut Creek or Pleasant Hill in the East Bay. It would be a a great place to raise kids.

If going there you might as well check out Powell. I know several people there that really like it.

Dublin is nice and is very close to Columbus and all that has to offer for shopping and dining. Dublin schools are well known for their excellence. As noted already, check out Powell as well. Real estate in Powell is very pricey as are the taxes, but it is a fabulous small town with a terrific shopping/walking district(very small, but very nice).

Dublin and Powell are both upper-middle class suburbs to the north of the city of Columbus.

I know Dublin is really developing its "Bridge Street District" and has a small downtown of its own. Its quite a bit bigger than Powell although Powell is also seeing a lot of population growth. Dublin also, has a large Irish festival.

Powell is pretty dull. I'd go Dublin without a doubt.

You can drive between the two in 10 minutes.

I would choose Dublin by a mile over Powell. There are major traffic issues in Delaware county. Try getting in and out of Powell at rush hour.

Same goes for the Avery-Muirfield part of Dublin.
