Some of you might remember I posted on here about 3 weeks ago that I had an interview in Columbus, I still might have an offer coming, but it might take too long. So here is my question, because I don't already live in the area I am not familiar with the companies that tend to hire people such as myself.

I am a recent college graduate from the University at Buffalo, had a 3.4 GPA there. I was president of a large student led club which I grew substantially. I also worked as a Customer Service Representative in a bank branch here for most of my college career.

Can anyone think of companies I should apply at? I've pretty much hit the bigger companies, and I'm well qualified for most entry-level business jobs, but won't accept commission-only. I'm kind of at a standstill because many companies won't bring me in because they fear that it will be complicated to bring me in (it won't I'll just drive down the night before).

If anyone can think of anything please let me know or send me a message.

Thanks, it does, I've actually interviewed already with one of those, and applied to most, but it gives me a couple more ideas.

Reps to you.

And I'm not only interested in banking, it just happens that that's what I'm doing right now. I enjoy it, but I'm sure I could enjoy something else.

I think our local paper and new channel usually does a report once a week on who is hiring in Columbus. I usually catch it when I see my local new pop up on Yahoo's homepage, that could help. My company just got through with hiring for right now or I would recommend who I work for.

Really? Do you know which channel? Or which day the Dispatch prints that? Because that would be incredibly useful, especially since my family hasn't moved yet.

I always seem to notice it randomly though the week. The channel is 10 WBNS. If you are not needing local news on Yahoo for Buffalo, may want to change your location to a Cbus zip like 43219 and get Cbus news. You will see it pop up if you check randomly through the week.

I will send you some info about the paper in your dm.

I did check out that website - Very useful, and I'll rep you again.

I know around here Geico is known as the company that is always hiring, and is a decent job. Are there any companies in Columbus that are known as the same? I'm entry level, so my degree can be very multi-purposed. Also if anyone has heard via word-of-mouth about something, I'd be willing to look in to any lead.

I'm not desperate, but I'm certainly getting anxious now.
