I noticed the large amount of car accidents and pedestrians being struck by cars. Why is this? I know drivers aren't much better in PA but gee wiz! Don't people watch where they are going or is it they just don't care?

That's a good excuse but I noticed the large amount of accidents before the prices started getting really high. I checked on gas prices around Columbus and they are still a little lower than where I'm at in PA. The cheapest around here is 3.99 for regular. And that's just the cheapest.

Auto insurance rates are very reasonable as compared to other metro areas of similar size, so I don't think the accident rate is excessive for the population base.

I have to say - "many" drivers in the area are horrible. Most do not use turning signals. They tailgate and either drive way too fast, or drive at a snails pace.

I have driven all over the country - Many are just horrible drivers here. Of course, this is my opinion...
