Crime - I find it exceedingly high here(my opinion of course) I had to stop watching the news at night. Too many shootings, murders, etc for me!

Having lived in Philly, where it's safer to be in Iraq if you are a young male, I laugh at your crime.

I lived in a house that sold for $748K, IOW, a nice neighborhood.
There was a shooting a month within two blocks of my home.
While in the front yard, a 12 year old kid stole my bike, rode it two blocks away and held a couple up at gunpoint.

In my 4 years there I learned to tell the difference between firecrackers, a shotgun, a 9 millimeter, a Glock and a 38.

I laugh at your crime

I love the midatlantic...toss in baltimore and dc.....people have no idea what real crime is....you know when you live in a area that has high crime when you call the cops after a accident and they tell you take down the details and submit the report yourself.....

Looking to move to Columbus area with 4 young children. Where are the better public schools? Family oriented neighborhoods?

I lived in Grove City for ten years after spending my childhood and most of my adult life in Cleveland, with short stops in Chicago, LA, and Detroit. Columbus, in my opinion is a good place to live, compared to the other places, if you want to live in a big city. It still has its problems, but not the magnitude of the other mentioned cities. I live in rural Tenn now and have no intentions of going back to the city life, but if I ever have to Columbus would be my choice.
The Hilliard school district where my daughter lives is one of the best. Dublin schools were reported to be one of the best when I lived there.
