Hi all, I've investigated Catholic schools in C'bus for my teenage son and was drawn to St. Charles. Are there any neighborhoods/suburbs or even farther out that would be a good place to live? I also need to think about Sp ed and homeschooling for two of my other children. Are there any areas that are particularly good for raising children? Safe and friendly. An older home with mature trees would be a plus for me. We've live in everything from urban to rural and it's a trade off. Urban offers the amenities, but rural offers the peace and the commute! I lean towards rural, esp w/ a spec needs daughter. Are there any towns that are artsy? Proud of renovation? Strong libraries? Thanks!

check out clintonville. little suburb with older homes, basically everything you said. My son goes to saint charles and i live in c'ville. its only bout 20 min drive to school and its completely worth it. Just a stat, but St. Charles has the highest act and sat scores in the state. Its a great school.

St. Charles is a really good school. Bexley is right next door, lots of expensive homes there.

I'm thinking about shopping for a house, preferably in St. Charles, MO. Is anyone familiar with the area and if so, do you know of areas that are affordable and safe? Thanks
