I am on a budget so buying these expensive books to download to an ipod is
not an option right now.

Our library has tons of books on CD. Could I put these on the computer
and then on my ipod ???

The most difficult thing is keeping the chapters in their proper order. This I know from Mrs. Tek. She has a step-by-step I'll post if no one else has it to share (I have to find it first)

Some Audio Books will have the tracks numbered and in order for you. If not, it takes some work to get them in order, but just get the CD from the library and rip the book onto the computer.

I put the book tracks in a playlist, sort the playlist alphabetically in iTunes and make sure to always play the book from that playlist in the iPod. The article at the link below has some good instructions for doing this.
