I currently have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2. Due to adding "new software" I need to upgrade to Windows XP3. How do I go about in doing this? How much should I expect to pay? Any advice will be helpful.

thanks!

You actually should have upgraded to Service Pack 3 before July 13th, that is the day support for it was stopped, and you have since then not been receiving any patches or security updates.
Either use Windows update to install SP3 or download the full installation and run it, you will pay nothing, it's free.

And after installing SP3, I recommend running Windows Update again until there's no more critical updates presented.

Thanks! I just went to Windows and got the update there. It took almost an hour. I have my automatic update turned on on my computer but this was never updated. Definately going there again to get more of the critial updates! Something I should be more aware of. Thanks all!
