Crazy Monitor

Its an interesting monitor made by Alienware, I wonder what games out there actually support that resolution?

See that fabric covered box it's sitting on? It's a mini-Cray 9000

Bottom line: if the monitor has to curve, it is too darn wide for a human to fully view/utilize it especially from a normal sitting distance.

Resolution isn't that great for such a big monitor. 2880 x 900, maybe if it got near 4000 x 1200 then we might be getting somewhere.

Here is their main website. Previously it was offered through Alienware, but this is the main company, with some kind of arrangement with NEC. They do need to bump up the vertical resolution, but they also wouldn't mind selling multiples of these to someone.

Ostendo CRVD™
41" width and 20.8" is the entire height, so this means it has approximately 40" horizontal and 13"-14" vertical viewable screen....200 nits brightness is kind of weak imo and with its stand it weighs 52lbs, not for the every day skinny geek!

In short, this $6500 monitor is nothing more than 2 mediocre quality 24" wide screen LCDs next to one another. Blah! I suppose if you got the dough and want to look cool.....
