I don't like it as it doesn't store large 4+ gb ISO files so I can't completely use it to backup stuff. I'll sell it to my cousin in the Philippines.
I had an Antec external hd case but the 1.5TB Seagate in it went bad. Then my mom put it in the garage and lost the power adaptor. This drive had esata and I used that.
But it seems on the newer motherboards on the market that they're getting rid of esata and going usb 3.0.
My P6T Deluxe has the latest drivers and Bios running. That Hitachi External Drive is cheap and slow.

You can safely convert from FAT32 to NTFS without data loss. And without a USB3 compatible computer, there would really be little point to getting USB3 devices.

Don't you have the data backed up somewhere? If not, back it up, reformat and restore. As stated above, you can convert without reformatting.
