Are there any Mac or iPad users in Florence or surrounding area? I'm interested in starting a Mac Users Group or at least communicating with other Mac users. I hope to hear from you.

I'm not there yet, but we're considering a move to Coos Bay or Florence later this year. I think you'll find more Mac users in Eugene or Corvallis, given they're college towns.

Hi there. I like Corvallis, but not crazy about the Willamette Valley – too much traffic, too much pollution. I've looked at moving to Coos Bay a couple times but each time I've come back to the same opinion: Funky and run-down for the most part. While Florence does have an abundance of old folks and snow birds, as well as summer-time tourists who come to tear up the dunes, it's overall a pretty sane, safe place to live. The only BIG problem is there are no jobs here unless you're a health-care professional or can start your own business. Thanks for your reply. Big Mac

Mod: This thread would do better if moved to the Oregon state forum.
