I don't use IE and haven't in years but in firefox you can store and sync all of your browser info online. With that set up, any time you get a new computer or reinstall a browser etc. it will automatically resync all of your browser info and restore it. Do you have anything like this installed in IE that may be putting it all back?

Like skel1977 alluded to, fire fox is just a web browser. It does nothing to put spyware on your computer, now what sites you visit with it.....that is a different story. If you didn't visit them, someone else using your computer did. lol

I wasn't asking if you are using FF, I was just asking if you are using an add on or some other method of syncing your browsing data and that is what is causing it to return.

You're probably not doing a full format. Do you have other stuff like programs you installed?

You should have seen this screen or something similar:

Just so you're aware when you do full format you lose everything including programs you installed, documents, email account settings etc.

The very first thing you should do is go to windows update after full reformat.

Depending on how you restored it the original factory settings it may have saved much of your old data. Certain installation methods will move data from default locations to a protected folder, install Windows and then your old stuff will still be on the drive. This is preferrable for most people since many do not know how to make a backup.

As Coalman said above, you probably didn't do a format.
