Pickle is a free game site. My grandson played one of the games on it and even though I removed the game site from my computer using the 'add or remove hardware' section as per the pickle site recommendation.. I'm still getting the advertisements. What its doing is on any site I go to, CD included- it will underline words and if I accidently scroll over the underlined word, I get the Pickle pop up. It is so annoying.
I went to the Pickle website and it wasn't helpful at all and eventually just led me into more pop ups. How do I get rid of Pickle? Where could it be hiding? I used CCleaner but that didn't help either.

I am so frustrated right now I could scream.

Then I suspect malware.
There are some good free malware removal software. Maybe Ad-Adware? Avast?
Or check it here:
MajorGeeks.com - Download Freeware and Shareware Computer Utilities.

Ad-aware is not very good anymore.

I hope the OP has current antivirus software installed. If not, remove what is installed and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Then download and install Spybot. Learn to use it - including the Immunize function (takes two passes to use it).

Finally install Anti-Malwarebytes. Also free.

Should be good to go.

Thanks.. I downloaded Adaware... but after 2 hours of it running, I just shut it down. I don't think it's compatible with my antivirus software. ..

I'm going to try Spybot

if that doesn't work I'll try Anti M

and if that fails I'll use the play pickle removal tool the poster above suggested. It's a little out of my comfort zone to do it, but I'll give it a shot if all else fails. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one having pickle problems.

thank you all..

gads, I hope this works.

Once you get rid of this, you should create a limited account on your computer for your grandson to use.

Download and install Sandboxie and set it up so that a browser runs "sandboxed". Remove all other browser icons. The browser will work just like it does not, but it is completely isolated from your computer. No matter what a website attempts to install, closing the sandboxed browser will delete any virus, trojan, nagware, etc.
