Hi
Can anyone tell me how to insert a word document into another word document
I don't mean insert the text from the word document, but to insert the entire document into the other so there is an icon you can click on?
What version of Office do you have? The instructions above are for Office 2003.
Here are instructions for 2007/2010:
1. On the ribbon in the Insert group, choose Object
2. Click the tab Create from File.
3. Click Browse to select the file/document you want to insert into the first document. Highlight the file/document name and click Insert.
4. Check the box to Display as Icon. Click OK. Your second file is inserted into the first file and you will see the Word document icon. Just double click it to open the document.
