Somehow, my PC got that darn "ShopatHome" toolbar and now whenever I go to numerous websites, it pops up, and if it's a website to purchase something, it really goes hasywire.
I looked up how to get rid of it, and found:
"You can uninstall ShopAtHome using Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel, but your account at the ShopAtHomeSelect Web site will be deactivated. To complete the uninstall of ShopAtHome using this method, you will need to enter a computer generated word, (e.g. "CAPTCHA" generated pass phrase)."
However, I went into Control Panel, and there is nothing listed in my programs that appears to be this?
Go into all programs and find it there then do the uninstall or start, control panel, and look at all the names in the list you should be able to find it, highlight it and uninstall. Check properties for the specific name or look for blah blah toolbar in your list under the control panel.
Just a quick note. CSD610 is exactly correct about how to remove the ShopAtHome.com Browser App (toolbar). Alternatively, The app was designed to be cleanly uninstalled with the provided uninstaller (newest version). It it highly recommended that you do not use 3rd party software to remove the app as we have seen undesirable results that are problematic. If you have questions or concerns about the app, please contact service@shopathome.com.
