Are you connecting it via the S-video output/input?

Does you TV has a computer jack on the back? For example, my Sony TV came with what they call, a "PC" cable. This cable is used to connect a PC to the TV via the port at the back of the computer, to the PC jack in the back of the TV. Is that what you are trying to do? The TV is no more than a computer screen if used this way.

I actually looked at the TV manual and it SAYS it has an s-video input. And if that's true and your laptop has an s-video output you should be able to connect the laptop to the television via a s-video cable.

However you should check to make sure it does indeed have an s-video input on the television.

You can get s-video cables all over

Buy the NexxTech S-Video Cable - 12' and other Video cables & connectors at circuitcity.com

Dynex® - 3' S-Video Cable - DX-AV030 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8427017&st=s-video+cable&type=product&id=1181832627116 - broken link)

Optoma 1.8-Meter S-Video Cable BC-SVSVXX02 at TigerDirect.com

And from what I read about your TV there really isn't too many options besides s-video and RCA input.
