I have a 3-1 Lexmark that is taking me to the cleaners with the ink jets costing almost $60, so I need to get rid of it.
I want to install a 3-1 laser one for my Vista computer. Any suggestions? Thank You,

There is a thread somewhere here that discusses this. You should search for it. I know I mentioned our brother MFC9320CW in it so you might search on that. There was a lot of discussion about printers and the cost of ink vs toner.
We have been very happy with the Brother. We found it at Staples as a demo unit on the display shelf and it had very few pages printed. Got one heck of a good price.

Brother has a good selection.
The cartridges are reasonable.
We are going on 4 years with our HL4070CDW.

Do you buy paper by the case or ream? If you buy by the case, and you have the space, get a corporate size laser off of craigslist.

You do have to replace the drum every so often, but most household users will go a few years before a new drum is needed.
If you do not need color, then laser printers are far cheaper, page-for-page. If you need color every now and then, you could just keep you ink jet, and only use it for color printouts.
