My family currently has 3 PCs. We used all 3 licenses. I am buying a new computer. Can I unistall office 2010 on that computer and reinstall it on my new computer?

If you purchased a retail license of Office, you can safely move it from one computer to another. The activation may require some additional steps, but you are allowed to do this.

It only becomes iffy if Office came bundled with the computer.

If you uninstall it from one computer and 90 days pass without that computer getting updates the MS server considers it inactive. That being said, if you've never exceeded the 3-PC limit then loading it onto a new computer now should load flawlessly since the use of the code wasn't abused.

If you bought it online, be sure to have the activation key available to put into the new one.

I bought it from Best Buy in the store. I already used all 3 licenses. I want to unistall it on the one and reinstall it on my new computer.

I called a vendor about a similar situation, and they indicated I would need to contact MS so they could make the adjustment on the license.

Not sure what the vendor was talking about, there are no "adjustments" done on retail licensing.
