Just wondering how many here still run Windows XP on any of their computers?
Are you going to upgrade your current computer to a newer version of Windows?
Or buy a new PC?
Or continue to run Windows XP, and hope your computer doesn't get infected or hacked?

We've got friends at Church that have XP. They got advice from a friend who works in a computer shop and it was suggested to them to just use XP until it won't work any more.
We have Vista and not about to move to 7 or 8. From other questions though, it appears 7 is more popular than Windows 8.
I'd say keep XP, it's not that it's any less secure.. the most likely attacks would be via third party code (java, flash, browser bugs) and those vendors will likely continue to support XP for a long time.
It works great and the software I use on that system works flawlessly, which is the key thing.
I couldn't care less if MS support for it ended or not. I will probably use it for several years more, if not longer.
I have W7 on my newish laptop and really like it. My ancient PC has XPSP3 and will continue to do so until it becomes completely inoperable. Then I'll buy a basic PC with W7 for a few bucks.
I got rid of XP when I upgraded computers .Have two on Vista and two o windows 7.One vista is traveling laptop and other is non-connected to internet used for personal accounts.
I still use it on one laptop, but that one isn't connected to the internet ever again. It runs special software and only used for that purpose. I plan to just keep using it until it won't work anymore.
After Vista came out, I found it unbearable to use XP on a daily basis and started replacing all of my personal machines.
I won't do any support for XP machines for family and friends, so that pretty well eliminated it from my world a few years ago.
I'll retire the last Vista machine in a few weeks (a business VM), and we'll be half 7 and half 8 (both home and business).
Our current version of software will probably support XP for the rest of the year (from a purely technical aspect), but we officially discontinue all support June first.
