Hi, my sister uploaded a ton of old soap opera videos to YouTube and I would love to have a copy (on a DVD I guess) to watch later, to watch in case ABC decides to take them down, or they just disappear. Please no jokes about soaps - I know it's cheesy but I love it. How can I do this easily? Is there some way to record whole playlists so I won't have to go one by one (there are hundreds of 10 minute clips)? IS there some service I can pay to do this for me? Thanks!
If you use Chrome there are numerous extensions that can save/download videos off Youtube. Just do a search on "save youtube videos" and you should get some options.

Probably because Youtube doesn't want you to download their videos.
It would take a lot of work to download a bunch of series of videos and put them onto a DVD because as far as I know you'd have to download them individually then convert them to whatever file format you'll want on the DVD or to file formats that the DVD maker/burner can read to convert to the VOB, etc format for DVDs playable in an average DVD player. If your DVD player can play computer video file formats, that would make it a little easier.
I use a Firefox addon to download Youtube videos to MP4 & FLV formats then just convert the videos to MPegs using Pazera MP4 to AVI so I can watch the videos using plain ol' Windows media player.
I have made the MPegs into common playable DVDs using either Ulead Movie Factory or Windows Movie Maker, but I can't remember which or how exactly. Sorry...
Normally I just store MPegs (and other video files) on my NAT (network) drives because they're more convenient than DVD. For convenient portability, I copy the videos from the NAT drive to my laptop hard drive or to a flash drive as needed.
