My desktop Dell only has VGA output and the problem is my HDTV VGA input is on the blink. So I got a vga to component cable and got no picture at all and then discovered I'd need an expensive convertor box to make it work.
So the question is how can I cheaply + easily connect vga to hdtv (other than using tv's vga input). Tv has hdmi inputs + compostie + component etc. Thanks!

Ok nevermind. I searched and found this VGA to HDMI convertor on Amazon for cheap (with 4 star rating) and then seen it on ebay for $12 shipped so bought it there. I'll try it out and hopefully it'll do the job!
