With a Mac you can't get into, the best solution is to boot it off of a DVD containing the Mac OS, if it has a DVD drive or off of a bootable external hard drive or thumb drive that includes the Mac OS.

Most foolproof solution, but it'll destroy files and third-party software: If it has a recovery volume, you can boot off of that by holding down Command-R as it boots up. From there, you can erase the hard drive and reinstall the OS onto the now blank hard drive.

You don't need to go to that extreme (unless Filevault is enabled). You can use the password recovery tool or go into single user mode and delete the setup file. If the disk is encrypted, then you're out of luck.

When you boot up in recovery mode - just go into terminal and type resetpassword and it should walk you through the process.

If you need to get into single user mode - just boot up holding down Command+S. This is command line only. Once booted up - just type:

mount -uw /
rm var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h

Turn the computer on and it'll take you through the new setup process where you create a new admin account.

Could you write out, in some detail and clarity, what exactly the issue is that you're having?

It's impossible to help you when we have no idea what on earth it is you're trying to do.
