Epson XP-420 "Small in One" e Printer Question (Office, reinstall)

Very nice (cheap at Staples) printer for small home office use - got connected to new HP Pavilion computer with help of tech from the cable company internet guy. It printed - he left. Tried copier - works fine - tried to use scanner - asked me if I wanted to scan to computer - I clicked "ok" - it said "no computer found" - I am pretty computer not savy - any idea what I should do next? The manual is written like I know more than I do.

I've always had good results with this HP "HP Print and Scan Doctor" tool - HP Printers - Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows | HP® Customer Support

However, I see you have an Epson printer + an HP system, so it may not be helpful in your case. It's worth a try, though.

I am unable to find such a troubleshooting tool at Epson.

The only ther thing that I can think of is to reinstall the printer drivers (&/or make sure you have the most recent ones installed) -

Also, install the firmware upgrade, if applicable - Epson XP-420, Drivers & Downloads - Technical Support - Epson America, Inc.
