Not really. It won't hurt anything but won't accomplish anything either if you're not having related issues.

When I have a problem I can not solve I go back to a prior restore point. That has worked. This would assume the problem is with your software and that the software was working correctly on the date of the restore point you pick.

A quick update. First off, there were no updates available for my machine, but I have to say after following the recommendations of the first link, things seem to be a whole lot better. The bar strength drops only occasionally now, and comes back immediately. Also when I first log on I would have to wait for the signal strength to become full. Now it is right there at full bars. So it is a definate improvement. I am now online kicking the tires for a new wifi router. Any suggestions that will not require me refinancing my house?

I prefer the Netgear Nighthawk, but it's not the cheapest you could buy, but then again you don't want the cheapest.
