Webroot, anyone use it, any opinions? Gets a good write up in PC magazine.

Not on my recommended list. Its reliability seems to be all over the place.

I haven't really used it on a home system nor seen anyone use it but pro version of their product seemed to be pretty decent but I do not have too much of a history with it.

We are using Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection for our clients as well. Didn't seem to stick out better or worse than other similar mainstream apps.

On Windows 7/8/10 systems, it seems to have very small footprint and load on the system.

I've never used it. For home use, I've used Avira, AVG, and Avast. Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away, I used Norton AV until I learned better. Also used McAfee only because my computer came with it (back in 2006), but I wound up uninstalling it (which was a pain) for AVG.

I've been using Webroot SecureAnywhere in conjunction with Malwarebytesfor several years and am very happy with it. Very small footprint. Over the years, I had tried almost every other virus protection -- all of them either allowed viruses to infect my computer (and I'm very careful about surfing the net) or were so bloated that they slowed the computer down terribly.
