- Did you downloaded a large number of programs that run on start up and/or have very little hard drive space left?
Limit how many programs run at startup by using "Autoruns" or "msconfig".
- Did you run a virus/malware scan?
- Are you using a lightweight AV program such as Microsoft Security Essentials or an overweight resource hog such as McAfee or Norton?
- Did you run a disk clean-up on you HDD's using your computers File Manager?
(Start>Computer>Right Click HDD>Properties>And by the Pie Chart of the HDD +"Disk Cleanup"
Then you can also go to Tools tab and use "Error checking" and "Defragment")
Disable your antivirus temporarily before starting Disk Defragmenter, and don't use your PC until it has finished.

Your processor, a Celeron, is no speed demon. You no doubt have a lot of junk running in the background. As suggested, use MSConfig to turn off just about everything. If you're brave, go to the MS website, search for and download autoruns. Problem here will be knowing what to turn of and what to leave. You want to leave things related to your touchpad and display on, but you may not know who wrote the software. OTOH, you don't need to leave on anything from anyone else, such as ASUS, who no doubt has pre-installed utilities to "make your life eatsier" but don't.
I have a 5 year old single core Celeron ASUS notebook running W10 with no problem because I stopped (and often uninstalled) all the junk that was running. But I know what the hogs are, and use some additional utilities (process explorer, for example) to see what's the problem. This reminds me that one problem process is from MS itself - the update service. On my ancient small machine, it sucks up a lot of resources until it runs its course, which can be a few minutes or a few hours. I must live with it.
You may also look into doing a system recovery. If it's available on your laptop, it will restore your computer to factory fresh. It will reformat (most likely), reinstall Windows and all the programs that it came with. Just a thought.

Bloatware may be overstated and will not slow down your computer and all you have to do is uninstall it. Installing OS from scratch is beyond the capabilities of many. You will still have to manually track down and install old drivers and re-install all the apps and devices you do use from scratch. Much more involved and complicated than uninstalling the canned apps that come with laptops. Not only that, what is bloatware to some may not be to others. Manufacturers make the system recovery available for a reason.
Did the computer come with a restoration disk, or does it have a restoration partition?
On my laptop there is a little pinhole next to the power button. If you push it, it will give you the option of restoring the computer from the backup partition.
Bloatware does not slow down a computer? I've been seeing mirages (as in lower CPU usage) all these years?
