did the anniversary update on three computers, one a two year old Surface Pro 3, a home built with parts collected over a decade or so and a 6 year acer tablet with a single core celeron.

No problems on any of them, although the ancient acer took a bit of time.

Haven't noticed anything different. No changes to my security settings, for example.

Not sure what the big deal is, either with Win10 or the anniversary update.

Good to know the update is out. I didn't even notice that it didn't get automatically installed on my PC because I didn't have enough disk space. Ooops.

A pretty anoying update. It turns back on many of the things I recommend turning off, so sketchy MS...

^ Like what? Either I missed something, or it didn't mess with my settings. In case I missed the obvious, can you let me know what you found? The only thing I see so far is Groove. ugh.

Just a few:

- The Store icon that I removed is back in the task bar
- The Edge icon that I removed is back in the task bar
- I am again asked what I want to use as default to open PDF's
- "Show suggestions" was turned back on.

I also noticed that "Try Office" and several other apps that I uninstalled before were back.

Thanks. Never got the store icon, and it kept my default for pdf (or I forgot that it asked?)

Yea, 3D Builder back in the menu... so annoying. The Try Office one is my favorite, though. I HAVE OFFICE 365 and am using the LATEST OFFICE PRODUCTS> Can you at least detect that I already have it before putting that icon back?!?!?

(I might be wrong about the PDF one). But I was prompted to pick a default for something.

The menu? Yes, I see lots of stuff I never touch, but I just ignore it. I do however, make sure these things don't hog resources by autostarting. Autoruns is a great utility.

News app, Money app, Phone companion.... I remove 'em all. I hate clutter and bloat.
