Don't know enough about computer hardware to figure out what DVD-RW would work in this old XP warhorse.

I'm a movie buff who has found that old DVDs sometimes simply quit playing. So I want a couple computers to make legal copies of my old DVD collection. Besides, I like this old computer. With its small, somewhat dark screen...it can't be an energy hog. I'm on off-grid solar so energy usage is a big issue.

Also....bargain hunter. Think I can find an economical unit with enough poking around. All I have is time.

Any old DVD burner should work after you rip the movie to your computer first.

Finally found one for $7.50. Going to close this thread while I still can...if I can.

EDIT: doesn't look like I can delete this thread. Oh well...problem solved.
