You can take out the hard drive and get a converter cable and connect it to the USB port of another computer then wipe it, transfer the data or do whatever you want with it. When you open up the computer you might notice that the mother board has some caps on it that are raised and not flat. That would be the problem.

Yes the fan works..it actually started acting up with BSOD...then it started just restarting over and over again...I have a new pc and haven't used the old one in over a year. But its just sitting around the house.
