No problem about advice which becomes outdated. I have learned that everything in technology changes....No getting comfortable.
I am learning how to create and host repositories online through Git Hub, they changed a practice already. Fortunately, with the help of members here, I have used the command line.... I never had before. It is kind of scary....I just don't experiment there!!!

The engineers at my work use Git Hub as well. Some use the GUI interface SourceTree to make things easier but using the Command Line is actually a much faster and error-free than using a GUI middleware like SourceTree.
Thanks. I found github finicky but I was just following steps to set up a repository from an online class video. I think checking out some YouTube videos would help. I heard that everyone uses it.
