I cleaned my wastebasket, before. I have Windows 10, with Edge, but use Google Chrome most of the time, as my browser.
What is happening is this: Facebook shows the outline of a plug-in, in black, when I share anything, so I am assuming I may need a plug-in but, do not know which one, from Google Chrome, I should download.
YouTube, some videos show fine, at other times, the video has sound, but the video shows blackened. So, do you think the problem is with Adobe Flash, or a lack of it?
I have uninstalled Adobe Flash, because I thought that maybe the problem, since it comes pre-installed on Windows 10.
I went to the Harvard University website to look at some medical stuff with videos, today, and got a drop flag stating that I need to download Adobe Flash 9.
Soooooo confusing.......I have myriad of hours going from Microsoft Windows Help to Google Chrome Help, but cannot find the solution.
Read the entire entry to familiarize yourself. Then follow and execute the steps outlined in Step 4 - Reinstall Flash. Once on the Adobe Flash download site, uncheck/deselect any options for add-on software (such as anti-virus or a browser toolbar).
Go slow and recheck every step before clicking forward.
