Fios loses internet - unconnected Belkin extender? (wireless, access, message)

Hi computer people - anybody know why this happens? Computer says connected to the internet (FIOS) but has no internet access. Will get a message saying Belkin Wireless Band extender not connected. Nothing was pulled out or changed and this will sometimes last an hour or so before it comes back again. Much appreciation.
