I just logged in with no problems but I am in the Philippines so I guess that is not a perfect test, maybe say what state or country you are in, anyway I can confirm it is not facebook itself.
I've run into that as well. Not for Facebook, but other sites. Firefox doen't do what it is supposed to and I switch to Chrome for that site.
