Have test some adaptors and some get around 10-20 feet and then drops. Anybody gotten anything further then 50 feet? even with 4.1 Low power seems to cut off around 30.
yea i thought 30 was max. we use bluetooh headsets at work here and they can walk around the building without issues. but using my personal one, i cant step 10 feet and get dropped. Work headsets hurts my ears so using my own i feel comfort with.
Remember that the Bluetooth system was designed specifically with frequencies and power levels to NOT be long range. It has always intended to be a medium and low bandwidth connection and just a few meters, clean line-of-sight (within one room, or maybe the next room). This was to keep the BT gadgets extra inexpensive and from having to separate out your several BTs from your neighbors.
Any heavier need and WiFI should be used.
These devices use bluetooth. With line of sight I've talked to someone at the top of a chairlift, several hundred feet away. The next time I pull them out of storage I'll see how far they can talk bluetooth to a different audio source like a phone.
