I am not a member but use the free email through AOL, hence they will not help me fix the problem. I cannot access my emails at all, I keep getting an error message. I went to AOL Help link located on the error message and I tried all the fixes they suggested and I still cannot retrieve my mail. I am wondering if I am going to have to send everyone a new email address through my current ISP provider. Anyone know how I can fix this problem with AOL?

I don't know anything about AOL email, but I do know that sometimes when an account hasn't been accessed with a given period of time, it no longer works. Could that be the case?

Do you access AOL through your ISP (ie aol.com) or do you use the AOL program and connect with TCP/IP?
Have you had this problem for a while or did it suddenly start yesterday or today?

What web browser are you using to access it? I'd try a different one. For example, if you're using Internet Explorer, try Firefox.

May I suggest you abandon aol - but not for an email address with your isp.
Try gmail instead.
...then you'll not have another big problem if and when you switch your internet service provider...
