I've googled this to death and could not find anything conclusive. Is it even possible to calibrate a laptop monitor, or are calibrating software only for standalone monitors? I also posted in the Photography forum since my reason for wanting to calibrate is to get as close as possible to the colors of how it should be both in the monitor and then later on the printer.

Should be able to. Digital Imaging products and reviews has a lot of links, not sure if any of them apply to laptops only. Also look up Spyder 2.

One article I read did say that your results can vary. Unlike a normal LCD if you move your head around while looking at a laptop what you see changes so any improvements you make will apply to what you see when you're looking dead on the screen if that makes any sense.
