for the last week I cant read links given in posts on forums or other sites.I just get a blank followed by a recover webpage notice. HP laptop clean with no other problems.any ideas? not computer savvy at all. Cant even use links offering help thanks

cant see links on any forums or other websites at all. otherwise computer works fine and fast.

Hmm, never had this problem before. Have you tried resetting your browser settings to default?
Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced/ Restore Defaults.

Have you tried using a different browser, for instance if you are using IE, try using firefox.
Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced/ Restore Defaults.
Check your firewall if you are running one and see if it has restricted IE or whatever browser you are using.

Check to make sure java and flash are enabled.


When you say you cant read links? Do you mean you cant see links or when you click the links you cant access them, because if that is the case
loading problems are often associated with the phone lines/router/dsl/cable/modem/wireless signals/locations etc and in that case you should
contact your ISP

Boy do I have a lot to learn.I clicked a link & nothing so I right clicked and clicked open new tab. link showed up fine and now problem is solved!! after days of messing around resetting everything computer is super fast like new. Thanx for all the advice
