Windows 7 so far is stable
Vista like features are making the system fell more comfortable. (for those who use vista)
new taskbar makes things a little bit easier and the show desktop button nxt to clock is nice
BIGGEST ONE OF ALL: MEMORY FOOTPRINT IS DOWN ALOT
Pentium 4 HT @ 2.5Ghz
1.5GB ddr2
160gb @ 7200RPM
Radeon 9200SE
so considering how old this pc is its running like magic

I love it. Although, I didn't really hate Vista.
I think people will like Win7, it really refines the Windows experience and doesn't leave the bad taste that Vista did to most people.

I have not found an issue with Windows 7 RC yet, and am pleasantly surprised how smoothly it runs on an older laptop.
Great improvement over my Vista experiences. Connecting to my other computers a piece of cake, a real pain in the butt with Vista. Wireless, connects to my secure wireless much quicker than XP did. Everything I have installed so far has been problems free. Still building and testing, but have found no compatibility issues thus far.
Friend mentioned the other day he wants my advise on getting a new system (he is long over due), but unless there is a real need for him to get something better now I will certainly tell him to hold out for Windows 7 if he can.
After several days of using this laptop with Windows 7 I'm convinced that it runs as well if not a bit better than it ran under XP. I actually think that Micro$oft learned something with Vista, and while it is probably a bitter pill, they have turned out an OS that will run on most machines and not demand a high-end gaming or workstation PC.
Some of this mentality is still exhibited though, as Windows Experience Index assumes that because my video does not support 3D gaming graphics, that my experience is only a 1.0, the lowest possible. Well here is an hint M$, I am not a gamer, Sudoku and Solitaire are about it for me, and I'm not missing a damn thing without 3D graphics.
