I tried to sort Staples but their sort by doesn't work, which bolsters my lousy opinion of Staples.

If you can deal with the cost of consumables, get a color laser. They're dirt cheap. If you don't have to buy immediately, and keep an eye out for good deals, you can get a good networked color laser for $200 or less. I bought a Xerox Phaser 6180N on closeout a year ago for $199.

If you really want to get your cost-per-page down, get a double-sided laser printer. I've had one for 2 years and it's terrific.
