Is anyone going to the New Haven fireworks display tonight and would you have any viewing location suggestions for first timers there?

Many thanks in advance!

I don't know if it's safe anymore, it's been years since I've been up it. But East Rock Park, at the top with the monument, always had the best view of the fireworks in the harbor from that side of the Q bridge. On the other side of the bridge, Lighthouse Point was the place to be.

A bit late on this (we just got back from vacation) but the fireworks are now being set off from East Rock, not in the harbor: http://nhregister.com/articles/2010/...3222723903.txt

We're watching it from our apartment!

That's awesome. So to better answer the question of the OP: Look up. If you can see the monument at the top of East Rock, then you'll be able to see the fireworks.

Can any one tell me the magnitude of the grand finale of these fireworks said to set off no longer in the harbor but from the top East Rock near that monument? I just got back from vacation. I'm so tired. It was a blast. I went to the Pokanos mountains, not to be confused with the Disney character Pinocio They didn't have any fireworks, not Pinocio, the POKONUS. I'm lonley. Is this going to be a good place to meet a non interested fake single? thanks in advance!
