I have an offer from my company to relocate to our Shelton office. I'm currently in Tampa. Recently divorced and my ex wife and daughter have moved to Wethersfield Ct. area. I'm looking for an area to live where I will have opportunities to meet others my age (38). Milford looks interesting but I have no idea what the area is like. I'm looking to rent an apartment under $1,600.

Milford is a nice town. While it is technically a city, it really is a suburban community with few, if any, high rise buildings. It has a major mall and a lot of excellent shopping and restaurants. I would not say that it is an exciting place to live though. It is about 15 minutes to Shelton and about 45 minutes to Wethersfield. There are many apartments and you should find something there in your price range. Jay
