Located in Connecticut's " quiet corner". Not much going on out there- very suburban to rural living. Tiny township of about 2600 people. As you would expect, you will have a bit of a drive to get to anything. No malls nearby for good clothing stores, but nearby CT 6 westward/south west from Chaplin toward the Willimantic/ Storrs-Mansfield area has every conceivable store from Staples, to Tractor Supply, Wal Mart, Ruby Tuesday's, food shopping, etc. Lots of state forest in the Chaplin area for hiking, fishing, kayaking if you're into outdoor sports. Chaplin is very rural and quiet, but at least has access to Route 6. Windham isn't too far away to the west, it's the next town over. WillowWind covered most of it.
Very rural; Larry the Cable Guy would be right at home there... It has some very nice areas, neighborhoods and such. Chaplin has a great little club called Fin, Fur and Feather. Nice shooting range and clubhouse.
Not saying it's a bad thing...Sr has quite the bank account, apparently!
LOL Oh I know but behind the scenes they are still "Northern Rednecks" running cars into trees and smashing things for fun, roaring through town on the open piped bikes etc. I can see them hanging out at The Bach Dor during a pig roast and meet. LOL

We just took a ride out through there on the bike; definitely hillbilly/redneck country! But some of those hillbillies drive purty nice cars!
