You only have one cable company. Cablevision, or Optimum (same company). You can get internet/phone/ TV for about $100 for one TV or box.

Your other choices for TV are satellite or the phone company. Not sure what they cost, but not as good as cable's rates.

Also check if AT&T Uverse is available... usually same rates as cable co. Otherwise they probably offer DSL internet service with satellite TV.

Cablevision (Optimum) is a great company and has been serving fairfield and new haven county for over 10 years.

Everyone I know that has Cablevision HATES them. Over the years there always seems to be a regular discussion on this when I visit my family and friends in the Bridgeport area. It seems Cablevision is always changing what they offer in their basic cable plans. They require box rentals for channels that are included in other company's basic channel packages. They do not have good customer service. They can't seem to provide customers with a strong cable signal without a booster box in the basement. We have Cox and have not had any problems but it sure seems like every few months I hear complaints about Cablevision. They seem to fit the old impression that cable companies use to fit into: bad service and indifference to their customers. Jay
