Well lucky this isn't "2 out of three dentists agree!" I'd defer to the academic study cited in Kid Yankee's post above which seems to back up my point of view.

Aren't you a college graduate that comes from money? I remember you saying your dad owned a large number of real estate properties... I remember you announcing your income on an earlier thread and I think you need to adjust your idea of what lower income is...

I consider lower income in Connecticut to be under 40K, and your income as a young single guy is well above that.

I agree with the $40K threshold. As I've said, I'm usually dealt an unlucky card when it comes to gay dating, so that's what I know of and see most

Maybe you are attracted to the wrong types for some reason? I know personally that that can happen....straight or gay! Maybe you need to set your standards just a bit higher and then maybe you will meet the quality of men you want.

And personally, I have a lot of gay people in my family and not one are in retail. In fact one of my gay cousin's was making about the same as you if not more when he was your age.

Hey, a family that's gay together, stays together.

Humour people, humour...lighten up.

It's not rare at all. I know five families where at least two siblings are. In two cases, two out of two (both brothers) are.

Yep - I know one family where both daughters are lesbians.

A little off topic, but I did want to mention how surprised I am that most of the homosexuals I know are very conservative Republicans (seems that Nep is Republican as well). Anyone else find this to be true?

There were a few studies exploring the "gay" gene, but I don't know if there was any conclusion. The most interesting one was gay left-handers were most likely first born and gay right-handers were most likely NOT first born.

A lot of the ones in higher income brackets tend to be fiscally conservative but are socially moderate or liberal depending on the issue - somewhat like mainstream Unaffiliated voters.

Well, I wouldn't say "very" conservative, but, statistics show that 30% of gays vote Republican in America. Personally, I'm actually a Libertarian, but eh, they'll never win the presidency, so I continue to vote Republican, unless it's a right-wing social conservative extremist, such as Sarah Palin, Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell or Mike Huckabee. I prefer the socially moderate/liberal Republicans such as Linda McMahon

Default New Here as well

I was very fortunate to be able to meet a few guys here before I moved her last week. I meet them at a social that's held once a month at Max Fish in Glastonbury. They have a Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alter...s/273012953339

It seems like a lot of the guys get together for drinks and such rather than go to the bars…we tried both on a Saturday night and were really sad by what we saw. Won't waste money going back. Happy Hours seem to be quite popular as well...
