I'm down to two Wheel Barrows full. If need be, I can probably grab a little more, but would have to pick thru the stacks....at that point, I'd rather just burn Oil

Neighbor came over asking for wood. He burned through 6 cords. I'm at 5 and still burning firewood like its mid winter.

A nice break tomorrow.

Bridgeport only has 3 days this month of 50+ (least on record) but with the rain it will be chilly most of the day. Normal is 50+ now.

For those burning wood, quick, gather some dry kindling before this heavy rains coming within the hour. We'll need it next few days. 30s at night, 40s/50s in day. Just thought I give a heads up and be ready with dry wood. :-)

Will this be the last time I need the fire for heat?

Last year I needed it for some cloudy days at the end of May so who knows.

40°F low outside and a chilly inside.

I haven't put the heat on in weeks. Open the blinds and shades and my house gets to mid/high 60's regardless of outdoor temp. I actually crack the bedroom window at night to cool down a little. This morning it was 43 outside and 63 inside with the window popped. Went to bed at 66 inside.

I will say this house has great insulation.

Nope... Whats funny is we had July weather for a week after I posted that. Now here we are again needing to take the chill out of the air again and then Summer returns next week with Hot and Muggy temps

It must be May... firewood in the air and fresh cut grass.
